Brigham City Fine Arts Center Basic Photography Class

Students of my Basic Photography Class at the Brigham City Fine Arts Center be on the watch for your traveling photo exhibit at Hansen Auto in Brigham City starting Monday, March 7, 2011 and remaining there until Saturday, March 12, 2011!! Tentatively it will arrive at the Brigham City Senior Center on March 14, 2011 and remain there until March 21, 2011.

Poor {C} and {J}, their engagement session was below freezing, their bridal/groomal session was snowing, and their wedding day . . . yup, snow/rain mix! I always say that the most extreme elements make for the most dramatic and beautiful portraits!

I think these pictures prove that theory, they are beautiful!

These were supposed to be done at the Bountiful Temple, when we got there, the temple and grounds were closed for cleaning. Fortuneatly we knew someone with a beautiful home in the hills above the Temple. They turned out beautiful!

I did Baby {K}'s parent's wedding portraits a couple years ago, and it is great to see them come back with their new baby! He has the MOST beautiful eyes, and was so incredibly happy through the entire session!

Two Color Photography is proud to announce the newest member to it's family!

This is Max! He was born on July 15th, arriving 3 weeks early! I took July, August, and September off for maternity leave, and have just loved snuggling my beautiful little baby boy! I have had SO many calls for jobs while I've been out, and really worried about how to get every one in for their pics. It's given me alot of stress. Now that October is here, I am only shooting one day a week, and come November I'll shoot two days a week. December will remain at two days a week. Come January, I'll begin taking on more of my normal schedule.

So here's my solution:

Mini Sessions!

On October 23 in the Mantua Campgrounds, down by the creek bed; November 13 at the Ogden Train Depot; November 20 in the Mantua Campgrounds, in a tree scenery setting; and December 4 back at the Ogden Train Depot I will be offering 3 Mini Portrait Sessions each day.

For $75.00 you will receive a 45 minute portrait session, 20 high resolution images on CD, and a secure online ordering gallery. The turn around time for these images will be 10 days.

The sessions at the Train Depot are out side shots only. There is a charge of $50 to photograph inside the depot. If you feel you need more than 45 minutes, you can book two consecutive time slots for $140.00 and get 40 images on CD.

This was my first time doing a photo shoot in an actual wheat field! I've done pictures in fields of weeds that resemble wheat, but never in a wheat field! I learned alot during this session. #1 you can pop open the little things dangling from the wheat and chew on them, and spit them out when your tired of chewing on them! I learned that if you drive a non-diesel engine through a wheat field, it could spark a fire in dry wheat. I also learned that this was such a friendly, kind and warm family. They were such a pleasure to take pictures of!

Here is the {D} family! They are family friends of ours! At the beginning of the session mom mentioned how excited {E} and {K} were to see their pictures on the website! So, since it is who you know in the world that counts :-) I bumped them to the top of the "add to website line" just so they could tell their friends that they are on the internet!!!

What a beautiful family though! Even the boys were willing to get their portraits taken, and that's not always the case!

I hope you enjoy your pictures {E} and {K} and mom and dad and brothers too! Now you can say you're on the internet :-)

Here's the {S} children! With a special little introduction into the world for baby {K}! We did some studio stuff for baby, then we took the show on the road. The kids are gorgeous. Big sister did so good holding and loving her baby brother, it was adorable! And big brother wanted to be on the trains, around the trains, under the trains, over the trains . . . with an attitude like that, you can't help but catch some great shots!

Little Cowboy {M}

I'm willing to bet you haven't seen a cuter little guy than {M}. I've known his mom since she was 16. I photographed her engagements, bridals, wedding, {M}'s baby pics, their family pics and now {M} is about 18 months old. He is such a cute little guy!!

These were supposed to be shot outside in the poppy field, but inclement weather forced us inside. I think they still turned out just stunning!

This wedding and reception were so much fun! The bride was stunning. The groom very "GQ" and the family was very relaxed and enjoyable!

The weather was absolutely beautiful, there were clouds where there needed to be to make gorgeous skies. What a great day for everyone!!

Does it mean your getting old when clients come back and they're children are getting older? I did pictures for this family last year, and they seemed so much younger. I guess that's what happens in a year!

These kids are absolutely adorable, and they're some of the most kind and respectful kids I've photographed. We had such a great time. The littlest guy just made us laugh the entire time!

Senior portraits are so much fun. I can't believe the variety in personality I get. It almost always shows by the location they choose to have their pics taken.

This is one of my favorite locations, and I think it fit perfectly with {C}'s personality. The shot of him holding the fossil ties it all together. He gets paid to clean out these fossils, I'm sure it's meticulous work, but he enjoys it!

Close Family Friends!

Here's an awesome family that have been good family friends of ours since we moved to Brigham City. I taught the girls in church, was visiting teacher to the mom, did the wedding of the youngest daughter, the family pics of the youngest daughter, and some fun pics for the oldest daughter. I can honestly say that we laugh more when we do these sessions than I do on any other portrait session I do. They are just the greatest! (Plus, the youngest daughter does my hair and has for almost 6 years, and she does an amazing job!)

This is a SUPER cute family of a good friend of mine! We hit this photoshoot with a mission! We had gone to the same websites while on the phone with each other and said Yeah or Nay about some different pictures we saw. That was kindof nice, because I felt like I came with a game plan in my head of what we wanted to have happen. I also got a good feel on the type of post processing she wanted.

So, after an evening in the park, with a few giggles and a few tears - we have these beautiful pictures!

This senior was so beautiful! She posed like she had been doing this forever! And the location we did these at were so cool! There was an old pick-up truck, an old yellow bus, and some farm sheds and tractors. Then, she loves to motor bike, so she had that in some shots too! Not to mention her pet goat and her puppy! We had a great photoshoot!

This little sweety was just absolutely adorable! What more can I say! These pictures were just so much fun to work on, each photo I opened just made me say "aaah that one is so cute!" We've done pics of this little gal before, when she was just a tiny little newborn. It's so fun to see them start to grow up!

I have been absolutely slammed with seniors! I LOVE it! You can do things with senior portraits that otherwise would be too extreme. Although, someday I hope to photograph a baby on a motorcycle - how cool would that be!

I was really excited when they arranged the appointment, and said that he wanted to have his pictures taken with his truck! I was even more excited when he said he wanted them taken with his mototrcycle too! We had a ton of fun!

My mom and two sisters came to visit me last week. For three days we ate out, scrapbooked, ate out, slept a little and scrapbooked and ate out! SOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun. I have absolutely treasured the times I get to spend with my mom and sisters. Remember when your mom would say "Don't fight with each other, someday you'll be best friends." Well, I never imagined how true that saying would become! I also never imagined my mother playing such and important part in my life as an adult.

Anywho, my sister just younger than me is expecting her third baby. I was expecting my new backdrop. Backdrop arrives, my gorgeous sister is still visiting, so . . . PHOTOSHOOT!

I hope she doesn't mind that I posted these, I just think they are beautiful. I did some of her and my neice and nephew as well, and I'll post those a bit later!

What beautiful little girls I had the opportunity to photograph the other day! They both had beautiful blue eyes, and the older sister had beautiful curly hair. We shot a few in my kitchen first, a new style that's emerging in the photo world is for a more comfort, natural style of photography. So those are different than what I've done before!

Sisters, mom and grandma were great, and I love the gorgeous photos we got!
